Principle

Tame-Power DC-DC converters allow electrical power to be transferred from one voltage to another with optimum efficiency. DC-DC converters easily couple different power sources in hybrid architectures, resistors, fuel cells, super capacitors and batteries, powertrains, rectifiers, etc. Tame-Power products integrate all operating modes for optimal performance across its entire range of use.

Applications

In response to the global move towards electricity in the transport and energy markets, Tame-Power has created power products for marine applications. Tame-Power's DC-DC converters are designed for ships, marine and defence energy sources.

Features

The Marine line of Tame-Power DC-DC converters can convert power from 50kW to 10MW. The DC-DC converters have two transfer directions (buck and boost) and can be combined or used in parallel to increase the total power transferred. Tame-Power DC-DC converters can also produce several kW for voltages of 12V, 24V or 48V.

Ease of use

Tame-Power products are controlled via a simple CAN messaging system and are easy to implement. Tame-Power DC-DC converters integrate various control modes (input or output current, voltage and power) and have an embedded intelligence that optimises the power transferred for each operating point. Gensets[1] DC-DC converters can use air or liquid cooling technologies for better integration into their operating environment.

For specific requests, Tame-Power proposes to adjust its parameters in order to provide you with a product that meets your specific needs.
